Rosewood is also named as Hongmu in China. Rosewood has nice and clear grains with beautiful patterns, and it is a dense, hard and comparatively stable material for furniture manufacture.
Rosewood is our best quality and the most valueable wood collection at moment, which ia also named Hongmu in North of Yangtze River and ''Suanzhi'' in Guangdong area by crafsmen. There are three different types of rosewood: the pale, the red and the black. Most of the dark heavily carved Qing period furniture is made from rosewood. It has nice and clear grains with beautiful patterns, and their cutting surfaces are smooth and tight. Rosewood is a dense, hard and comparatively stable material for furniture making.
Rosewood is mainly imported from Thailand, Burma, Laos and Cambodia.
